As the founder of Aus Sports Law and a former Director of Rugby League Gold Coast, Matt has played an instrumental role in guiding athletes, clubs, and sporting organisations through commercial and legal challenges — always with a focus on sustainable growth and practical outcomes.
In 2025, Matt was named Commercial Partner of the Year by Lawyers Weekly, a reflection of his outstanding contribution to sports law and his commitment to strengthening partnerships across the sector. His deep understanding of governance, funding structures, and athlete support systems aligns closely with Sports Gold Coast’s vision to build a stronger, more connected sporting city.
