Grow For Gold
We rise by lifting others
Sports Gold Coast’s Grow For Gold initiative aims to identify and support three local young athletes who demonstrate exceptional potential and determination to represent Australia in the 2032 Brisbane Olympic or Paralympic Games.
The program aims to leverage partnerships with various stakeholders in our network to support the holistic development of the selected athletes over the next eight years.
This support comes in many forms – financial assistance; VIK; mentorship, etc, to ensure the athletes are exposed to as many opportunities as possible to develop their talent, become rounded individuals and shine in their chosen sport.
The Grow For Gold program is one the Gold Coast community will wholeheartedly embrace as it supports young athletes embarking on an inspiring eight-year journey of hope, optimism and goals.
You are invited to partner with us in this exciting program that will truly make a difference to our young athletes and create a lasting sporting legacy for our city.

Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame
Heritage. History. Heart.
For any city to authentically strive for a true sporting culture it must celebrate and preserve its heritage.
There is no more fitting tribute for an athlete than to be inducted into a sporting Hall of Fame.
But the Hall must be more than simply a repository of memorabilia – it should be a centre of education, inspiration, and reflection; a place where inspiring stories of sacrifice and endeavour are told to encourage excellence in future generations.
Primary objectives
- Establish a new site for the HOF.
- Secure sponsorship and all government support.
- Create a community of athletes to support the HOF.
- Identify and appoint HOF ambassadors.
- Build a 12-month PR campaign for the HOF.
